Since 2010, I have been collecting gloves found on the streets of Berlin and other places. After cleaning and repairing

them as needed, I place the gloves in a box. A mirror is attached to the inside of the lid, so when the box is opened,

the gloves appear as a pair again. On the front of the box, I record the date and the street where the glove was found.

When viewers engage with this work, they are naturally prompted to reflect on the themes of "absence" and "existence."

People start to empathize with the missing counterpart of the glove and imagine the story behind its loss. Inevitably,they

are also drawn to consider the story of the original owner of the gloves.
